This AAPI Heritage Month I wanted to do something special to uplift Asian voices so I'm doing a series of Thrift Flip Challenges with some of my fellow Asian Sewists. This is the second video in my series and this week I'm collaborating with Veejay Floresca @veejayfloresca ♥️ Veejay is a Filipino fashion designer who's based in LA and makes everything from streetwear to bridal, and she also does custom work!

Thrift Flip Challenge Rules: $10 budget to thrift one or multiple items that we have to flip into a new outfit. In this video, Joanne sent me a very dated two piece set and a little bit of trim to upcycle. I was really inspired by vintage playsuits and ended up making this matching set! I'm really proud of this one because I figure out how to make shorts that look like a mini skirt! Make sure you check out Joanne's video to see what I sent her and what she turned it into!
