I did not attend his funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it. – Mark Twain

The system itself rewards people for being exploitative sociopaths so you can expect him to be easily replaced by someone else.

I think it's totally fair to dance on Rush's grave. He mocked gay men who died of AIDS, set to jaunty music, so I really think he forfeited his right to post-mortem respect.

Limbaugh is no one to be worshipped. Dislike anyone dying but I won’t cry about him.

I have not one ounce of pity or sympathy for Rush. He mocked Eric Garner being choked to death with some statement like, "I can breathe because I obey the law." This is from the guy who was convicted TWICE of buying drugs. And he mocked many other Black people killed by the police. He died of lung cancer. If he died gasping, "I can't breathe, " I can't imagine a more fitting karmic end for this callous and cruel human being.

I'm not classless for dancing on his grave. Rush was a hypocrite on almost every social issue he pushed.

Saagar how racist do you have to be in order to justify people being happy someone is dead?

I love how some people view blatant racism as a mild character flaw instead of an immediate disqualifier. It says everything about how this country views its progress on racism.

"It's still racist, but, it's not as bad as it was"
"You don't have real racism, like we used too".

Rush was a full blown racist and this should be the ONLY reason why he should be shamed and disavowed by civilized society.

Rush Limbaugh left this world worse than he found it.

If he'd stopped 10 years ago, or even when he was diagnosed with cancer (or w/e he had), then I might be more inclined to say "let the man rest in peace", but he literally spewed his hateful vitriol right up until the last week of his life. If he'd been he 20 more years, he would have been spewing lies and attempting to indoctrinate for another 20 years. That's a big reason why people have zero emotional consideration when dealing with his passing. He was lying to his followers literally days ago.

Rush was the greatest broadcaster to ever grace the radio waves.

You missed one major historical fact about his origins. Good old Ronny allowed this to happen by getting rid of the “Fairness Doctrine”. So anyone that hates the complete bias political media you can start by blaming Reagan.

He’s the reason why so much of my extended family is so racist

I don't know how Iraq could be considered a "disaster" by any Republican politician or insider. It achieved exactly what was intended - a "forever war" in the Middle East, and a gravy train for defense contractors.

He changed my life for the better 30 years ago. He opened my eyes to hateful spiteful people who cloak them selves in righteousness and spew racist and sexist lies.

As a republican, I was dismayed that so many on the right believed everything Limbaugh said. Limbaugh and facts rarely intersected. His defense of everything Trump said and did was the last straw.

To my eye, that was one of those unspoken “successes” of Guantanamo Bay. An Administration that was willing to open a facility like that, and at the same time challenge anyone who questioned their “evidence for war” by calling them un-American... who wouldn’t they send there?
Maybe it wasn’t intentional, but it sure was disturbing.

I’m not sure there is actually 45% of actual conservatives in the US. People pick parties like they pick sport teams. When asked about policy the population tends to lean to the left. Not the US center Biden and moderate republicans represent.
I think the importance of conservatives who actually believe in conservative values is overinflated.
