Another reason why far harbour was the best fallout 4 dlc - they tried to reintroduce skill checks through the special system

It’s likely teddy is a doctor though the effects of the fog aren’t really known to people or how it works so he is basically trying to cure something that he doesn’t know where it is

They asked me if I had a doctorate degree. I showed them a doctored photo of a degree. They said welcome aboard.

You can also use the serum from the Cabots to heal Andre as well

This quest gave me some New Vegas nostalgia, made me remember those missions to heal wounded soldiers and gain NCR reputation.

Given Far Harbours situation it’s entirely possible that he’s not a “real” doctor but he’s the best thing they got.

Wish we got more stuff like this in the game

I believe the doctor and Andre will both take your side in the big argument if you do this

"Relying on a random stranger in town" literally every doctor in New Vegas

"I don't think he studied at an accredited institution."

It also isn't easy, trying to keep people healthy in the face of radioactive fog on an island in the middle of nowhere. Teddy likely has to make his own medical supplies from plants and scrap on the island, or spend a fortune buying it up from any trader that just happens to come to Far Harbor.

How much could your Dr do if removed from all their modern diagnostic tests and labs? Only so much you can do for someone under those circumstances.

I love how in this same room you can use the charge card and mysterious serum, it’s like they were making the dlc and they were like “wait we forgot to give a use to these two obscure items”

I was genuinely confused, I thought these checks were all over the game. Then I realized I was thinking about Fallout

I hated it when the DLCs were realistically one of the only weighs Fallout did skill checks rather than just Charisma besides the minigun strength requirement to rip it off it smell it's like they planned on having strength requirement for weapons and all sorts of other RPG s*** then threw it out the window and then try to add some of it back last minute in the DLCs

I mean, my settlements all have doctors. And when I say doctors, I mean some random person that I found wandering the wasteland who happened to be assigned to my medical stand.

Hope the next fallout goes back to single player or coop, and is just a newer more detailed version of fallout 4 but set somewhere else.

Lmao the medical skill used to mean something

Yeah but that’s also like, peak stubborn bostonite in a way, it literally taking a stranger doing it for him to keep Andre alive.

I would imagine living in a place that's *SURROUNDED* by radioactive fog you would go through many radX and rad-away.
So many he just didn't have the supplies he needs.
