James Burton Introduction

During the mid-late 1970s Elvis gave his band members solos during introductions. This is what James Burton occasionally played throughout 1975 and 1976.

Sounds fantastic! Well done. As a big JB fan myself, I've always wondered if his original Paisley had 1 meg pots as opposed to 250k, at least the volume pot. Fender moved over to 1 meg pots on both tone and volume controls in 1968, initially starting out with making the volume pot 1 meg and keeping the tone 250k. Burton's Tele was acquired, I think, in the late summer of '69, yet I also believe it has been described as a '68, so I've always wondered about the pots. As an owner of a 1969 Tele, as well as other 250k loaded Tele's, there's a big difference in tone.
