I found your website AFTER I bought the Same lenses you have in this video! ( April 2022 ) I am expecting my Sony 85mm 1.8 tomorrow. and my SONY A7C sometime in May 2022!!! I did NOT realize that camera is popular!!!!

Another great video, man! Lenses with aperture rings are a huge blessing for the A7C in my experience. Since the A7C lacks a front dial, you can use the lens to adjust aperture, use the rear dial to control shutter speed, and the rear control wheel for iso. I ended up getting the sigma 35mm f2.0 which fits the A7C perfectly. I really want either the Sony 20mm f.18 or the sigma 28-70 f2.8 as my next lens!

Very like 35mm gm but i have no budget so i get the fe 35mm f1. 8 and for potrait fe 85mm its enough.

That looks like a very tempting set up, Dylan! I am considering a little splurge and getting the A7c as a second camera. Right now, I am just waiting for the A7iv to come to market to see what that offers. I am a happy a7iii shooter but would love to go more compact- back to my a6500 days. I am thinking of getting the 35f1.4 as I already own the 24f1.4 and that is a dream lens. I bought it before the 20 f1.8 came out but have heard that is a fantastic lens as well. Liking your videos, so far, and am subscribed.

I have a7c with a 35 GM too, but chose the newer tamron 20-40mm f2.8 for my go to lens, is similiar in size to the 20mm G, but more versatile. My 2 cents 😊

On my A7C I am using mainly three lenses: Sony 28/2.0, 40/2.5G and Samyang 75/1.8, sometimes in addition Tamron 17-28/2.8 and for tele, the 70-350/ 4.5-6.3 G

Hey, awesome video. We have the same focal lengths choice. I just bought the 35mm GM to join my 20mm G and Sigma 85 1.4 DG DN Art. I sold my A7C since I'm upgrading to the A7IV. I was a little worried that the 35mm would be too close to the 20mm but when shooting video I almost always have to crop in when I need to stabilize the footage in post. Hence why I went for a 35mm instead of a 50mm.

What lapel mic is that? Is that rode? Do you like it? I might need to get one because I currently use a shotgun microphone but it would be nice to not have to aim for the microphone when I’m talking and reviewing products.

Wanted to buy the 24mm 2.8 cause it's super compact, but after thinking about it for a month I I'll buy the 20mm 1.8. I just hope I won't regret it when hiking for 10 hours 😅

I have the 40mm 2.5 and together with the 20mm 1.8 would be a good combo.

I agree - 85mm f1.8 vs 85mm 1.4 GMaster.. Would I like an aperture ring? Yes. Would I like a couple extra decimal points of F stop? Yes. Would I enjoy the very slight improvement of boceh? yeah. But for $1400? No thanks. I might pay only a few hundred dollars extra for the very slight difference.

For my A7C I chose Sigma DG DN iSeries Contemporary with either 20/2 or 24/2 and then the 35/2, 65/2, and 90/2.8. The larger GM lenses I use on my Sony Alpha 1 body where the weight/size are either to support. Thank you for the video.

What’s a good wide lens for product photography and talking head shots? I think the iPhone sits around 26 so I’m thinking of finding something like that because that’s what I’m used to. I’ve seen a demo of the 20 mm which looks cool but I think it’s going to introduce too much distortion not to mention I think that means I have to have my camera really low to the table which could introduce some problems when I’m trying to see what I’m doing
