toby is so good at using reverb it doesnt just feel like youre looking at a game over screen it feels as if its a room of its own where this track is echoing through it

when i played the game and died, i never actually stayed until the 0:25 mark. so, when i was relistening to the OST and heard that drop, i immediately fell in love with the song.

this sounds so much more tragic compared to undertale's game over theme, i love them both but this one just might outshine for me personally. really tends to brings out some dark memories ive stashed in some corner of my brain

Undertale Game Over felt more like a “Oh well, you died” type thing, while Deltarunes Game Over feels more faithful and motivating. (Definitely would make someone determined.)

The fact that this comes after Berdly's battle theme means this is either narratively fitting, considering this is when you get thrown into the dump, or Toby thought Berdly was such a gamer that most people would die here.
