Wow! I had you for math in high school at Mandarin and learned absolutely nothing (not your fault I hardly showed up to school and was constantly ill/injured due to dangerous home circumstances), failed most my classes and barely got a high school degree. I personally don’t use any of the “methods/tricks” to solve them, but just doing the Big X is helpful for more complicated ones. For your 3rd example, the m & n side values would be 6 & -3, and those are exactly the coefficients you got for the answer (but yes, for that example I just do educated guess & checks mentally as that one is simple enough to do quick).
