it used to be very popular back in like 2016 and 2017. I did it on my old channel, It got me a lot of subscribers, over 1 thousand, but i was only getting maybe, 10 to 30 views a video, which was horrible for someone with 1k subscribers. Its way better to get your subscribers correctly, this channel im on right now has 300 subs but i get on average 70 views a video, with the exception of a handfull of videos that somewhat blew up.

For those who are trying to grow on YT, don't worry about subscribers, views our winge about not getting traction, focus on the content instead and ignore numbers and make searchable content and practice SEO, Thumbnails and write a good description that is tied to the video, im glad to be doing this as a side hustle.
