Merrick Garland ‘calling Trump’s bluff’ in 'political move'

CNN Reporter Stephen Collinson says the US Attorney-General Merrick Garland is effectively “calling Trump’s bluff” in a very “interesting political move”.

Mr Collinson said the former US president Donald Trump has to decide whether he will fight the FBI raid’s through the court.

“If Trump argues that this should stay secret, that it shouldn’t be unsealed, that goes against the fact it was he himself that told the American people that this search was carried out,” he told Sky News Australia

“It’s a very interesting political move by Garland.”

A magistrate issues a general search warrant like you would for a drug dealer or previous felon. It is permission to search an entire residence because their is a likely hood that evidence would be destroyed. A Federal Judge would require specifics like what documents you are looking for and where exactly they would be. Trump had been cooperating with the DOJ all along. He provided access to his home, storage facility documents etc. This was "shock and awe" much like Roger Stones 4am raid. It was a fishing expedition like Leticia James is conducting in NYC. There is no factual basis. There is no risk of flight or destruction of evidence. A pathetic story of Trump(I guess) tearing up classified documents and flushing them down a toilet surfaced recently. The "documents" looked like a handwritten grocery list at the bottom of a Motel Six toilet. Hardly Mar-a-lago and certainly not classified government documents. This is the highly arrogant superbly stupid Democrat Party of Slavery trying anything to keep Trump from regaining the presidency. He was kind and forgiving the first time so the nation could heal from 20+ years of Clinton, Bush and Obama. This time will be different. The FEAR on Merritt Garlands face tells the whole story.
