Labour Calls on EUTrade Get Louder

The calls to push further and faster on better EU trade are growing louder, and not just from the usual suspects, but from within the Labour government. Rachel Reeves, whose job is to prioritise the economy, has been urging Starmer to push harder on lowering trade barriers with Europe.

Brexit was the biggest mistake we have ever made. It was Cameron's austerity that led to this. If the EU was this 'tyrannical' organisation, then pray tell, why did top Brexiteers say we have all the cards and that we were 'propping up the EU financially'? Surely if we had this much power we would then be in a position to make demands which in turn would negate the entire point of Brexit.

It is most evident now that Brexit was a really bad idea. Military and economic warfare threats are much better dealt with with a circle of friends and allies supporting each other. Being a lone wolf is not the way to face the future.
