This is the REAL Hand Jive dance. Takes me back to Lanphier High School - 1962. Loved watching the girls do their routine.

Most of the 50s and 60s dances had variations because you had to learn them from another person.
I saw a few on American Bandstand, which was very sanitized - if the dancers had any rhythm at all.
I have time to relearn some of these in advance of convention that had to be postponed. I plan on killing it, if I can find the right music.
Nice to know you don't have to be model thin to have a great time dancing!

I love this song im in Elementary School and I have to dance to this song and the same exactly dance that they are doing in this video so I can't wait to keep on practicing this song I love listen to the song it's my favorite song so far bye
