Any group that holds you in a lifetime contract that you "signed" without informed consent as a child, then influences your community and family to never speak to you unless you express the same faith is certainly not normal.

It's always "Poor Me, Poor Us, Persecution, Persecution, Persecution". Makes you fed up hearing it.

Anytime you are forced to shun your loved ones simply because they don't believe as you do, I'd say that's pretty extreme.

One thing we do know is the Watchtower will never pay your bills or provide a pension. You still need to plan ahead for the future.

To me, a very quick and simple proof is remembering that i spent my entire childhood TERRIFIED that something would happen to me and i would need blood, and wouldn't be given it such that i would die as a human sacrifice to the watchtower.
That's not normal.

One of the primary tactics of an abusive relationship is isolation. Enough said!

As someone who was born into this, taken out of public school at 11 years old, baptized at 12, got disfellowshipped at 17, and finally left home at 18 and is now labeled apostate by my entire immediate and extended family, his words have already ruined some lives. He knows what he’s doing.

I know uncle Tony was sure seeking a lot of earthly comfort at that liquor store that day! I just cannot picture him and Lett eating tree bark in the wilds as an expression of their devotion for anything!

They are extreme while playing the innocent Christian card. Their ‘stories’ all appear to be contrived as there are no names, dates, etc. No human would ever want to return to Siberia to eat bark under any circumstance. This is continued prep for being persecuted for the ‘Last Days’ This cult has ruined so many lives. When a cult doesn’t allow for normal integration into society, yes, they are extreme. Thank you for what you do!❤

Absolutely extremist! Wally I was told the same as you sixty years ago! Living in fear of destruction is not good for anyone’s mental health. It makes me so sad that so many family members are still sucked into the cult. Thanks for another great video 😊

The WTBTS has been preaching their "last days" message for more than one hundred years now. I remember the frenzy surrounding the expectations for the year 1975, how it came and went with no deliverance. I remember being told that the new system would arrive before the end of the twentieth century, and now we are late in the first quarter of the twenty-first century. Now they are telling their followers that we are in the "last part of the last part of the last days." Despite the failures of past expectations, Jehovah's Witnesses continue to soldier on even as the burden of the years grows and the broken promises pile up.

I left the cult years ago and have not regretted my departure. I'm a "senior citizen" now, and I am enjoying my life more than ever. I feel bad for the friends and family members I still have in the cult, wishing they would open their eyes and leave. The "last days" that I hope for will be the last days of this pernicious and ruinous cult that has damaged the lives and destroyed the hopes of millions. The "end" for that cult can't come soon enough.

I was indoctrinated starting at the age of four and I am now 58. My mother could not quit smoking so the meetings and the book study slowed down but the damage was already done. I grew up believing all of the things he just said and it's still hard to shake... But I will!
I so appreciate all of you X-JWs. I FINALLY FIT IN!🙏🙏❤️❤️

Every time I hear Lett speak I pray the rank and file will wake up and see through his theatrics - he is playing a dangerous game with them - it's called mind control!!

I'm 33, born and raised as a jw. I am so thankful that I was allowed to go to public school. I'm sure that is what saved me and showed me that "the world" wasn't as bad as I was told it was. Meeting my teachers and other students with good hearts and brilliant minds made me love the world. And the boys? Well they caught my eye as well because I was so starved of affection and reassurance. It wasn't until 9th grade after I got baptized at 15 that my parents finally took me out and home-schooled me. I was afraid of being disfellowshipped and I knew that it would just be a matter of time if I stayed in public school. It's just so crazy to me because I remember being 4 and 5 years old and being told Armageddon was going to come any day. My parents said they never expected me, their oldest, to ever even go to school in this 'system'. But here I am with a 12 year old in middle school still no Armageddon.... I was in and out of the witnesses from age 17 to 24, always going back because I was lonely and missed my family, never for Jehovah. I always loved this world more than Jehovah. And now that I know the real truth I am just beyond grateful for my rebellious nature and my love for the people and things the jws find most detestable, like sex and magic. But what I'm most thankful for is that my children are safe from the cult and will never know the pain of being shunned by their mother ❤

I'm seriously suppressing a scream listening to Lett spout fallacies and lies. They are truly despicable.

If you won't support the government that grants you your religious freedoms, that's extreme !! As a parent with said freedom you won't pass this privilege on to your children, that's extreme ! If the child rejects your religious beliefs for something else and you kick child out and never speak again, that's extreme !! If child hurts itself because of ostracism, that's extreme and cruel !!! Watchtower fails on every level !!

Such truth spoken here Wally ....and yet poor people are to contribute more & more. Not to mention the treatment of wealthier publishers vs the less fortunate - it all makes me sick!!!

I wonder how many JW's know that Lett plopped down $250, 000 matched by his brother with $250, 000 in order to buy a $500, 000 beachfront home? Oh, and he did this while serving at Bethel! So much for HIS vow of poverty to serve at Bethel!
