Wayzata Boys Tennis Falls to Orono in Section 5AA Final

The top-ranked Wayzata boys tennis team lost 4-3 to Orono in the Section 5AA championship match Tuesday. The teams split the four singles matches, with Orono winning at first and third doubles to secure the win. Three of the seven matches were three set matches. It’s Wayzata’s only loss of the season; Orono’s only loss was in the regular season against Wayzata.

Wayzata will qualify for state next year. Will also be one of the candidates to win it, along with Edina and Mayo.
