Nice work and a good explanation of what happens when you see reflections of objects in the water surface.
I have a query though, on how you'd render an object passing through the surface. We all know that these things appear to bend somewhat and I'm wondering if there's a standard amount of distortion or if it's relative to the angle on which we observe it?

Why does my color move to the edges n the middle part becomes kind of translucent when i do this? Anyone?

One major tip you forgot is that lights are darker and darks are lighter when dealing with reflections in water. This is so important.
