The horse stable where my mom kept her horse had a huge Rottweiler. When it was about 5 years old the owner, who lived on the stable property, got 4 Australian Shepard puppy's. During the summer the dogs slept on the front porch and one night the owner heard dogs barking and yelping in pain. She grabbed her shotgun, and flashlight and ran outside just in time to see one dead coyote and another an inch from death in the Rottweilers mouth. All the puppy's were safe and sound sitting in the back of the dog house. The Rottweiler protected the pups and controlled the threat. He didn't have a scratch on him, he was covered in blood from the coyotes but he was absolutely fine.

They take loyalty to a different level, like they can literally kill or be killed for their human but they never back off. I am so lucky to have one by my side. He’ll be 10 this november. I love him.

My female German Rottweiler (Babe) lived for Eighteen years. She blessed my family with her love. It's been 12 years and I still miss her.

I raised Rotties for years and they are sweet, smart, nosey and love to talk but I loved that they never had to be taught to protect their humans. Came naturally to them and being a single mom with 2 boy’s I was never afraid when my Rotty was there. Very easy to train. They are beautiful.

The lapdog thing is no joke. They are horribly unaware of how gigantic they are and will jump on you like as if they are tiny puppies.

There's a Rottweiler at the local dog park who is very friendly, but he doesn't like it when other dogs get into conflicts. As soon as he hears some growling, he trots over to the arguing dogs and intimidates them into knockingv off the shenanigans. Then he ambles off, pleased that peace has returned.

Had a rottie since I was like 2 and raised him with my dad. To this day our neighbors still talk about how a good dog he was and how they miss him. His bark was really deep and loud but when you came close to him his lil tail and butt would start shaking n he’d happy pee everywhere😂
