This is the Bavaria SR33’s toughest test yet. The Baltic Sea dished up a biting 4-5ft chop for our sea trial of the entry-level model in the Bavaria SR range, so how did it get on?

In this sea trial, tour and review of the Bavaria SR33, Jack Haines guides you through the boat’s clever deck spaces and voluminous interior and tests the boat in challenging conditions in an in-depth sea trial.

Completing the current three-boat line-up in the Bavaria SR range, the entry-level SR33 is hoping to build on the successes of its award-winning siblings, the SR36 and SR41. Marco Casali of Too Design has been brought in to pen the smart exterior while on board the 33 features many of the clever ideas that garnered the larger boats in the range such critical acclaim.

The highlight of the main deck is the convertible stern dinette, which drops down to become a sun pad or creates a charming waterside dining spot with unbroken views out over the water. Below, there is a separate double cabin amidships with an open-plan forward double and a dinette, galley and large separate bathroom in between.

Engine options are plentiful and include diesel and petrol motors from both Mercruiser and Volvo, with a single diesel option coming down the line. It's rare that we get such challenging conditions to trial a boat in for a review but was the SR33 up to it? Hit play to find out

A great review, I've been waiting for this one specifically. It was very balanced, you pointed out great pros and cons. The camera work was excellent, the detail shots, drone shots, and audio quality was fantastic. Great job and thank you! Brought a lot of items to my attention to think about when pulling the trigger on something - both positive, and considerations

Great job! It’s so important to point out any weaker elements whether in design or by comparison with competing boats.

I like separate births, but it still offers a lot for a 33’ boat! Nice review and tour!

Though much pricier, I would choose the Galeon 375GTO with twin V12 600HP OB’s. Which you you have a fantastic tour on your channel.

Having storage bins without lids attached is a loss just waiting to happen. Strange arrangement. Not for me.

Let's be real...it's a 33' boat...you don't need a dinghy. For some superyachts...this boat is the 'dinghy' lol
