Honestly I think season 3 is an actual possibility. With how much promotion and hype they've doing for the book of Bill and how Disney no doubt wanting a 3rd season in fact Alex was the only one who wanted to end it at season 2 if I recall. So season 3 or at most a movie seems extremely likely if you ask me.

If we do get a new animated series, I think it would probably be a prequel or something focused on bill, and honestly id love to see a prequel with the stans

If they did do a season 3. I feel like each episode would follow a different side character and there experience with the weird stuff but it all connect together at the end. You could even have it so it follows characters POV that we semi see in season 1 and 2 during them episodes but in season 3 we find out there whole POV of the episode.

I honestly think a movie would make more sense, more contained, less characters, and a chance to wrap up the tall tales of Bill Cypher, the Pines family, and the anomalous location that is Gravity Falls, Oregon.

Season three would kinda make sense because at the end show you see a note from wendy that says see you next summer, season three would probaly be where the rest of the anomalys and other stuff are gonna be removed and gravity falls is normal thats my thoughts for a sequel but I think I forgot lots of stuff, but I would like a prequel because I like the ending, but I would like to see dipper and mable's parents and see how they live and more about wendy's and soos's childhood, It could just be about dipper and mable at california for season three tell me what I forgot and need to know I am not smart with gravity falls lore

I don't think that there will be a season 3 of the current storyline, maybe a storyline of dippers books or something, but not gravity falls

Putting it bluntly, the creator has gone on record, saying he will not make a season 3! Maybe a spinoff but not a season 3

I want a few things from gravity falls, in the form of an animated show. (FYI, I haven't read the books or comics I only know some stuff from it from yt)
1. Stanford's adventures in the nightmare realm (prequel kinda)
2. Season 3, the fallout of season 2 left so many questions
3. A mini series on Stanford's research before the portal incident

I would love to see a season 3 and they could do it like in s1&s2 the kids were like 12/13ish but do s3 with them at 17/18 and make it a young adult cartoon series like Rick and Morty. Make it alil bit darker and weirder 🔥🔥

I think an idea that they could do for gravity falls season 3 is have it where because bill wasn’t actually defeated using the whole cave painting thing that Ford was trying to do, they now have to find everyone who is apart of it and bring them all together to finally defeat bill.
