Venice has been completely ruined by over-tourism. It's so sad. I live in Amsterdam, and our city has also been ruined by over-tourism. We are fighting our government to stop the flood of tourists before we end up like Venice... but we are on our way there. I wish people would travel to other places. Amsterdam was a normal, living city until a couple years ago. Now it feels like we are under an invasion, and we never get a break from it. Our local businesses are being replaced with souvenir shops and Starbucks. Airbnb is also a big problem. It ruins communities and housing markets. Please don't use it.
