My gun stays stationary rather than leaning with my character... Any ideas as to what i'm doing wrong?

how do you get the target to lean block? 4:30

If anyone has problems with player ref setup a "Get Player Character" and then "Cast to {Your Player Character Blueprint}" and then from that you can cast to a variable "Player Ref" which can then be used.

hey im following this from versoin 5.3 base first person. i cant find character ref node in animatoin. edit: also in the anim part i cant figure out what to connect the transform bone node to.

I've done a similar method using a timeline where it lerps in and out of the lean transforming the bones. However, when I am aiming down sight it messes up the location of the cross hair in 3rd person(I have a toggle TP to FP in my game) in other words only goes about using the pitch but at an angle the aim is not pointing forward but at an awkward angle. I have clamped the float so it doesn't go to far and look as though my character is breaking their spine. It would be interesting to see how this would work with a procedural recoil that has rebound to the firing start point with full auto weapons as well as procedural weapon sway.

I noticed your character has a different setup in this video. As opposed to a camera with hands attached to it, there is now an FP_Root, Mesh_Root, etc. How did you set this new hierarchy up?

How did you get that camera I mean the guy holding the gun

This doesn't work. If you try to look up and down or left and right while leaning, the camera moves at an angle relative to the amount that the character is leaning.
