This girl stopped by a street vendor and asked the woman if she could get something to eat for free since she doesn't have money. The woman looked frustrated as she pointed to her ears and probably a sign to signal that she's deaf.
Embarrassed, the girl typed on her phone and almost immediately, both vendors at the stand agreed. They singaled to the girl that they'll give her something to eat for free. Perhaps because the girl looked so young, they worried she didn't have enough money to eat after paying school fees. They were very kind. They asked her what flavor she wanted.
The girl, being grateful, offered to create a custom glass portrait of them using glass. She took out a hammer to show them. The women were confused at first until they read her message. It must have been a confusing few seconds wonder why the girl they just helped pulled out a hammer.
They agreed and urged her to eat first. At home, the girl noticed that the women gave her couple more servings of noodles worried that the food wasn't enough.
She returned the next day with the finished product and they were very happy to see the final result. They even showed it to other deaf street vendors nearby.
And when the girl offered to give them the money back inside a red envelope, they were appalled and declined. This goes to show, kindness really does pay. Let's hope that their business thrives.
