This easy to make Keto bread / keto bun recipe is a game changer if you are missing eating bread and sandwiches on your keto diet!

I follow her exact recipe EXCEPT: I use unflavored Whey protein powder instead of egg white powder, and I added a few egg yolks. I like to make the buns instead of the loaf bread, but you could easily make this in a loaf pan.

2 cups egg whites
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 cup sweetener

Mix all for 8 minutes or so until edges pull away and mixture is stiff. Fold in 3/4 cup whey protein powder and 3 egg yolks.

Bake at 325 for 30 minutes, turn off oven and let them sit for an additional 20 minutes. Remove from oven, cool, enjoy. Store in zip lock bag in fridge for up to a week.

I wonder if you used a fork to put the batter in the forms would be easier to get rid of the air bubbles

I wonder if you blended in the whey powder into the egg yolks and then blended it in your egg whites it would be easier and disburse evenly?

I made these buns yesterday and I like it so much better than the egg white powder only bread. I used 1/2 C Isopure and 1/4 C egg powder because I have so much of it. It was good, but I will stop using the egg white powder when it's all gone. It's just too dry.

I've made buns several times adding in either butter powder or egg yolk powder and I love them. I'll have to try them with whey isolate and egg yolks.

Whey wasnt used on purpose in the original because of the gut issues that it causes. plus is makes the bread extra dry
