Keep in mind that the german pronunciations of those words are a bit different.

The usage of the word Blitz comes actually from World War 2 and was popularited by germanies "Blitzangriff". We never use the word blitz to describe a fast attack. We would use Blitzangriff for that. We only use blitz to describe lightning.

Hi Wes.I'm glad to know you had a good time in Germany.You have quite a few loan words from German in English,especially in the medical fields.As you may know,Nagasaki has gotten a lot of cultural influences
from Germany.

english and german originate from the same (proto-germanic) language, over half of english speech is of german origin, the other is french
