I only came here for the great bumble's kind words. He reminds me of the legendary Richie Benaud. Cricket needs to have more kind hearted grandfather's and uncle's like them
Great story tellers cum non international players like the Legend Harsha Bhogle also deserve more chances. Specially for test cricket, if not others
For test cricket, by nature, even after being the hardest examination on the field, is a great parallel for so many things in life

I could listen to this bloke all day. All day. Props .to LancsTV for signing him up this season. He epitomises Lanca. Statham. Pilling. Fowler, Hayes. Simmons, Hughes. These are the memories I treasure and to hear David talk about those players with such affection is tops.

If David Lloyd ever referred to me being a crackerjack, I would know I’ve made it!

05:10 Neil Harvey Fairbrother! My all-time favourite Lanky player. Superstar

Fairbrother was a tremendous player, he is not being falsely bigged up by Bumble. Harvey really was top draw. In 50 over cricket I'd argue that only Pietersen is ahead of him for England. Lamb and Morgan also great 50 over players but Harvey was at least as good.

Wow, as a lad from those parts what a team that would be to support ! Some great names there bringing back wonderful memories. I remember Neil Harvey Fairbrother cracking a great hundred at Aigburth on a hot Saturday afternoon facing the late great Malcolm Marshall of Hants. One of my great cricket memories was Frank Hayes wonderful unbeaten ton v Windies on his debut at the Oval 1973, I was so pleased for him.

Neil Fairbrother would have been the number 1 pick in IPL, Big Bash or any T20 franchise. He was a genius that was incredible at the longer format too. What a great side Bumble picked for our Lanky. Would be untouchable as an England team in all formats.

John Crawley - definitely - used to love the sound his bat made - what a timer of the ball. FC Hayes - dashing player with his collar up!!! I think I agree with David's entire team.

Enjoyed that, I have to say Warren Hegg was hard done by England we had a fragile batting line up so they put Alec Stewart in for his runs but as a keeper he wasn't fit to hold Warrens met Warren and when I talked about it he wasn't bitter he was just a lovely lovely loved watching Lancs in the late 80's and early 90's

@sky-cricket: There’s redundancy issue in the subject. Greatest ever and of all time shouldn’t be used together. 😅
