okay i'm a 26 year old woman. and this screwed me up real bad!
when you started humming that song, and finished by laying out the clothes, it just took me back to my childhood immediately. you made me cry so much. i thought of my mom and how she only sang for me a couple of times, and how safe that made me. then slowly she stopped, and she pulled away, and our relationship just changed. she stopped being a mom to me. and now, today as a grown woman, when is see this, i can see how much i really needed that. how every girl/boy needs comforting parents. and how it will always stay with you as a void if you didn't get it. how you'll always keep seeking it even as an adult.
