In March the fifth platform and the final gangway for the Johan Sverdrup field was installed, making the field complete. The installation of the 25 000 tonne second process platform was done by heavy lift vessel Pioneering Spirit, which also installed three of the four platforms in the first phase of the field development.

The P2 platform was delivered by Aibel in Haugesund without any serious injuries during the close to 21 million work hours. Production from the second phase of the Johan Sverdrup field development is expected to start in 4Q 2022.
