Tyler man I can't even explain how important your videos have been for my musical journey. It's like you always have the answer to the problem I'm having right at the perfect time. Just, thank you man. Keep on doing what you love, whatever it may be. Peace out brotha

My wife bought me a book a few years ago called Zen Guitar. It talked about playing a single note and making that single note sound amazing. Putting your heart and soul into that one... single... note. It was a really neat concept for me. This video reminds me of that book. Dial everything back to a simple state... then play with your whole self... mind, body, heart and soul. When you "let go", amazing things happen. :)

So much feels😢😢😫 amazing! Your sunday jam "Chester" had that crazy amount of feel, its like your guitar was crying. it was sad and at the same time, beautiful. I just started your modern rock course, i hope i can pick up some of your skill😆

This is relevant to classical guitar especially, every note you hit has to have feel, meaning and purpose in order to effectively convey the emotion in the piece

Excellent tip and I've been playing for over 40 years!

You're right! I've had a Jam Session last night and I was the only guitar player that had no pedalboard. That made a Huge difference! All the other guitar players were focused on the effects instead on the playing of the instrument. Too Sad, Peace :)

Just wanna say thanks for you lessons Tyler. I made it my mission to learn how to rely on my ear instead of tabs. It took a little while but thanks to you I can now do it with ease. Also super system is pretty handy too :D

Is a standard whammy bar good enough? I find people complaining about floating ones and Floyd rose bridges.... I wish to play like Steve Vai.... Will a standard whammy do that? Planning on my first electric guitar after six years of acoustic self- learning!!!

I watch some other YT enjoy some of their videos and some have massive numbers of subscribers, like Jared Dines and Steve YOU are the only one out of that bunch who actually TEACHES guitarists useful stuff!! I like that it's not just about you or subs....you try to give advice to players. YOU should have 1 millions subs....sadly, this world doesn't work like that where the deserving always have the most overt success....but your work is much more meaningful and will have a lasting impact. Just of yor lessons that people learn will still be affecting players Decades froms now (and even longer)!!

That is my secret! I cannot play really fast, so I take the BB King route and just try an make every note *EPIC* and really nail the bend and vibrato. I make every note count (as best I can)
