ARCS might be my game of the year!

Today we are discussing Leder Games newest title Arcs! I am using the Miniature expansion throughout this video! The base game comes with wooden pieces :)

Arcs is a sharp sci-fi strategy game for 2–4 players, set in a dark yet silly universe. Ready yourself for dramatic twists and turns as you launch into this galactic struggle.

Seize the initiative:
Take actions with multi-use cards. Copy the leader, pivot to new tactics, or take the initiative for next round. Timing is everything.

Declare ambitions:
In each game, you define the objectives that everyone competes over to win.

Crush your foes:
Amass your navy for battle, plan your strategy with three kinds of dice, then roll them all at once to resolve the battle in a flash.

Each game contains a hundred wooden ships and agents, 18 custom engraved dice, a beautiful six-panel board, and tons of cards with over 60 pieces of unique art.

Hey Sam, I thought I was lucky enough when I got a last second ticket for the extended rules teach and playtest at Gen Con today, but when I found out YOU were the one to teach me the rules and gameplay, it became such a surreal experience. First video I’ve seen by this channel. Wow, love your style. You are very informative with what the game is, how it’s played, the overall experience, and what type of player will enjoy it. Not least is your ability to edit and keep the audience interested. I adore Leder games so I didn’t need much convincing to pick up the game. Just dropped 120 on preordering everything. As I don't have a great ability to get in person games going as much as I would like, I have been playing a very large amount of digital board games over the last few years. I really hope Arcs gets a digital adaptation as this is my first time really learning what the game is about, and it definitely sounds fun and crazy.

I'm pretty sure I understand more or less how all the mechanics work based on the video, but it would be cool to see a mock up of a few turns to see the whole process in action. Or maybe even a little footage of your next session would be cool. Either way, this is on my radar now!

I just preordered it yesterday based on the all the good things I've been hearing. I did not order the campaign box. I need to hear a little bit more about the campaign game before I'm sold on it. It sounds like it does some interesting things, but I'm not usually all that interested in stringing games together - so we'll see.

The artwork is magnificent, as in Root . Feels like Root in space . Factions, tricks, different ways to score, ressources that can be spent for actions, sounds familiar .
