I will probably tear up when watching this episode. Home Improvement was one of my dad's favorite shows, and he's been gone for some time now. I got him a Home Improvement baseball cap for his birthday one year, and he wore that hat for years afterwards. Was one of his favorite caps.

I saw an interview with Tim Allen and Nancy Travis, and Tim Allen was asked how hard was it to go back to Tim Taylor. He answered much harder and not as much fun as he hoped. Apparently, the writers on Last Man Standing had a very tough time emulating the way Tim Taylor talked. So Tim Allen spent a lot of time working with them to rework his lines to make the character sound like his Home Improvement character and not like his current character talks. It comes out well he admitted and he thought it had some laughs, but it was a lot more work to get it right.
