How to get Rid of Fleas in your Yard - Infestation of Fleas

When you have fleas this bad desperate times call for drastic measures and you have to do all you can to protect your family, your yard, and your pets. This takes weeks to see the benefits and the IGR has to be photostable which means it can still be effective in areas where the sun is shining brightly and doesn't break down as fast or loose its effectiveness. The Bifen-IT is really effective as well and not just against fleas but mosquitoes and many other pest. Concentrate on areas where pets/humans frequent and spray areas where there is a lot of shade or that areas none to have a concentration of fleas. It will be the best money you will ever spend. Trust me just check my other videos on fleas and see how they were jumping on my like crazy. It was even worse in the afternoon and its like they came out of hibernation.

You're one of the first people that actually told people to do the right thing when it comes to fleas outside. It's almost useless to spray a knockdown pesticide without using an IGR. The only thing different than you is I use Permethrin as my knockdown pesticide spray along with the IGR and after I get control of them (stop seeing them) I throw down Bifen granules every couple of months. I lost count of all the garbage ready to spray pesticides that you hook onto a garden hose that I tried from home improvement stores and not a single one worked at all and if they did they would be back in a few days. It's really the IGR that does most of the work because it renders the fleas infertile by using their own growth hormones against them, the thing with fleas is that they have an amazing survival ability that they use against us when it comes to pesticides and they build up a chemical resistance to them over time so IGR is really the only working way to break their lifecycle. thanks for your video. i have a really bad infestation in my backyard under my screened in deck (2 levels). The bottom level is a deck about 6" off the ground and i believe the fleas are all underneath there. i've had Orkin and Terminix out in the last month and neither can completely rid the area of fleas. It seems like they are actually worse now and moving out into other areas. Both companies would treat weekly only and only spray. i'm thinking of doing something myself and much more radical to get this problem taken care of b/c it is really getting bad. What would you suggest? Your suggested spray combined with a powder like delta dust for underneath the deck? the spray itself from both pest companies does not seem to be working at all

I only been spraying the cheaper bottle stuff, but it actually isn't 18..I spent like, 25 on that bottle. I put 1 squeeze cap fill per tank, just like you got and it got rid of my carpenter ants that ate my whole deck the Year before, and I haven't seen any fleas.
A year ago they were all in my house, fleas everywhere. But I started spraying that stuff outside everywhere with no other additive. And also I Been throwing those granules around every month and that seems to help too.
This year I've only been throwing the granules. I hope I'm safe. I have a forest behind my house about 100 ft away, like you, I gotta kill those insects

this is the problem we have, , ! never had a flea infestation before, also every mite you can think of...the fleas r in our home. I am finding a few in my grandbabies hair..I'm scared and don't know what to do. been vacuuming everyday.. used demon and a regulator outside and in...I have granules but can't put them out until it stops raining a few days..it has made me seriously sick!!

This is a good video and comment below. HOWEVER, you CANNOT us Permethrin if you have Cats. It's terribly toxic to them, and a slow death. Your cats can suffer up to a week before dying. They will not eat or drink with Permethrin poisoning. Your ONLY hope is a good vet and getting them there immediately as they will need intravenous fluids for 3-7 days. That will give them a fighting chance.

Last year I had a huge flea battle. I was spraying daily at one point, then decreased to every 3 days, then every week. I thought I won the battle, but they are back this year. I was spraying monthy to prevent, plus giving dogs monthly pills, etc. but they still showed up this year. I sprayed 3 times this week, plus granuals and 15lbs of DE in the yard, dog pills, dog drops and daily flea/fly spray. I just sprayed Bifen and it's raining 3 hours later. Hopefully it had time to work. I can tell it's mostly fresh baby fleas hatching after a spray. Bifen seems to work better than the permethrine. Need to buy more soon. I'll stay ontop of it and should get better soon. They say 4 weeks to kill off every stage of the fleas life cycle.

How do you get your neighbors to do the same? 🚯 Not gonna happen. We have been living in this house for 28 years with no fleas or ticks. Then a new neighbor with dogs.... Fleas!!!! I've given my dog Brevara from he vet. 60$ a pop! (damn!) But he brings fleas to my bed that keeps me up all night. I'm about to break it off on someone!!
