I have been to Israel once and always wanted to go back but COVID came and extra money now to live. I was learning מסכת סנהדרין and the mishna says ( פרק ג. משנה ג) that gambling makes a person פסול לעדות. Either because gambling is גזל מדרבנן or because it removes him from
ישובו של עולם. Or maybe we say to make a קידוש השם we allow an איסור, just like Pinchas was allowed to kill לשם שמים to make a קידוש השם.

The Yeshiva student had no idea the role he was playing and how he affected the world. In the Book of Job, Job did not know what had transpired between G-d and Satan. And that G-d, in a sense, had staked His reputation on Job. Job came through. But what would have happened if he had cursed G-d?

Nice that it had a happy ending, BUT I don't like what the Jewish businessman did. If the yeshiva guy had been watching something on a long 10+ hour flight, then somehow the whole thing is a sham and not true...WRONG! You think he is going to learn the whole time? Maybe he even makes a deal with himself that he will learn an equal amount of time, which would be amazing. This Jewish businessman didn't do the right thing, and could have caused a big embarrassment, for no reason.

Yesterday I was at a town concert and was bullied as to where my chair was placed by a very large man. (I’m a very small woman.) I struggled during the concert to forgive him.
