Thanks for keeping us informed. I do not understand people asking why certain things were not done or if mistakes were made, because without a time machine nobody can go back and act differently. The media need to realise that no politician is ever going to say I made a mistake or my government got it wrong.

I understand that you are leaving the decision as to whether to remove our cultural landmarks to the whims of local councils. Our local councils are Labour-run and so we can only imagine the decisions they will make . Can I suggest that you either enforce local referendums and let the people decide, or forbid the removal of our history, whether that be good or bad.

Stuart Keenan
Usual dumb questions from the media, constantly trying to criticise the government for the steps they have taken during this pandemic, easy to say different decisions should have been taken with the benefit of hindsight, not so easy in real time and with limited information on a totally new virus. Read through previous comments and wondered if there is any scientific correlation between writing nonsense and not being able to use your own real name, rather than some stupid sounding handle?

Once again I am appalled by the inanity of some journalist questioners.
Clearly desperate to conjure from Boris's mouth just one sound byte that can be spun as an admission of guilt
"do you regret" again and again. How can he regret following the firm advice of a selected group of our best professionals?
Regret is an emotion. Government should not (and did not) act on emotion.
Notice there was not a single question on how many are likely to die due to thousands of rioters completely ignoring social distancing.
Agenda, maybe ?
Contrast with Cummings hysteria.
These journalists are largely a disgrace.

Thanks for letting us know that the methods and sourses used to derive the R were different leading up to the lock down than the methods used now.

9 minutes 40 seconds of dead air before the presentation started! surely someone could edit this?

I remember the Government warning that we were going to have a lockdown, and there was a worry that many wouldn’t see the point of it. If we had had an early lockdown, it would have gone on much longer having an adverse impact on peoples finances and mental health. Also the closing of schools had a great impact on vulnerable children with respect to abuse and poverty.

Confusing answers to several questions including those regarding contact with partners who live far away; “bubbling” etc. and very ambiguous messaging, even when I watch it twice. And gloves when serving ice-cream/foods? Yes or No?? Clear as mud!

What's the difference, in medical/scientific terms, of grandma AND grandad who live together having their grandchildren to stay? Why only one?
