Master P: I Paid for 50 Cent's First Tour

When asked about which hip-hop entrepreneur he admires the most, Master P names Russell Simmons, saying that he likes how he never got caught up in the "negativity" and "foolishness" in the rap game. The "I Got the Hook Up" rapper speaks more on rap beef, saying that he also never got caught up in it because he deals with things in person or on the phone, not in public.

Wise words from the master. "I respect people. And I think if you respect people then you get that same respect back".

people will always hate on Master P and say he don't rank with the big dawgs. But you can take P's catalog of music and assemble a playlist of hits that people recognize,  that would play all day long without hearing a song twice. That's a fact. #nolimit4life

This young generation of hip-hop needs to listen to what he said from the 2:20 Mark until the end of the video.
I agree with everything he said there.

Master P is a sick hustler. They started No Limit as an independent label with money from the game. Shit is so watered down now. What rappers can really say they came from the grit and grime of the streets? The "hottest" artist now is literally from the mickey mouse club. Come on now? This is what people like? One of the illest things I heard about Master P is back in the day when they were in the come up he would go and purchase up his own albums up to get to boost the record sales. I don't know much about the way things work in this music bus. It's a lot of cut throat bullshit and the fakest ones are the easiest to sign up for the "dream" of making it in the industry. If you're signed to a label that's great. But, most likely you're just a pawn in the grand scheme of things. If you can make 30K out of the back of your trunk that's what's up. It's never too late to start listening to real music. 50 cent is not my favorite artist but he actually came from the life. I have a lot of respect for the accomplishments of anyone who can roll strictly independent. Fuck the fame. 50 also was mentored godfather of hip hop Jam Master Jay. I had no idea Master P had something to do with 50 cent.  Hey kids, its never too late to drop the Frake out there and start listening to 2Pac, E40, or Pimp C.
