Buffalo Sabres General Manager on the future of the franchise

Matt Bove sits down with Buffalo Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams to talk about the future of the team.

I love that Adams is so focused on internal growth. Ottawa and Detroit were just two examples of going out and making either big trades (Debrincat) or signings (Perron and Giroux), yet still finished below Buffalo, who stuck to their guns and focused on player development.

Great interview. Thank GOD Kevyn Adams is the GM. With his intelligent vision and long-term plan, we might soon be witnessing the greatest era in Sabres franchise history. Let the kids learn. If we rush the rebuild we will be the Leafs in no time. The goal is to win the Stanley Cup, not make the playoffs.

Adams shows why he should be GM of the year either next year or the year after. This team was built primarily from the draft with a few pickups from trades of Eichel and Reinhart.. I look so forward to next year now that Levi is probably going to be our Goalie.. this year was exciting.. the sabres were one of the top scoring teams in the league. Now they just need to keep the puck out of their net and Levi and RJ can help with that...

Kevyn Adams has proven to be what the Sabres needed a steady hand and a patience, doing it for the long haul, sorta like the Bills. Hats off to the Pegula's.

Great interview 👍 This draft and off season Are very important and interesting. KA and Co I think are doing the right things. Would love to see more games in the Black and red so called goathead Jerseys. You can tell the team prefers them. Plus makes us look or seem meaner more confident in them.

I like oloffson but he’s just a perimeter player . He’s not physical at all. I’m not sure if he’s scared or if he’s not willing I’m not sure . It is telling that he was shelved being a 20+ goal scorer. But man is his shot lethal and his one timers are mainly on point . If we do trade him they should be able to get a top 6 guy in return

It's hard to say how Adams will be regarded once his tenure is over, but he's mastered talking for a half hour and not saying anything new LOL.

Bottom line is if the Sabres have any chance of making the playoffs they can only bring up 1 or 2 kids. Younger players lead to giving up goals and poor team defense and that was pretty obvious this year as their team GAA and PK was pretty horrible.
