Yep, I would love to move to Montana, but prices are still jacked up. Have to laugh about people moving to OR and WA where I come from. Politics are terrible, getting worse, and destroying the cities. There is no hope for the foreseable future.

I'd move to Montana in a heartbeat, but the cost of living keeps me in the Midwest. Great information, as is the norm for this channel.

Another great video... but very surprising that people, who got a taste of Montana would leave it. I guess my wife and I have become "Montana-centric", after moving here over 17 years ago from the SF Bay Area! Once we left CA, we never looked back and have absolutely NO REGRETS! People we knew there and worked with thought we were nuts moving to Montana and told us that we would be back. Every-so-often, we're asked, "How do you like it there?" Our reply is, "We hate it! It's terrible and you shouldn't come here!

I was born and raised in Florida. It used to be a great place to live. When I was a kid, mostly what Florida was was cattle ranches, dairy farms, Orange groves, and many different types of agriculture. Just about anything will grow there. But then Disney came in, followed by a slew of theme parks and the unchecked growth began. Now it is so crowded that is almost impossible to get around in any major city. When I retired, I moved to Montana. It reminds me in many ways of the way Florida used to be. I’m sometimes sad about the way it is there now, but I absolutely love Montana. I will never leave.

To your point, Neighbor from California was here for two winters and just moved out. Headed to Tennessee for better weather.

This is a great video! We moved here 25 years ago from Kentucky. We came out on a vacation and fell in love with. We are now true Montanans and won’t ever leave.

I left Montana in 2022 from Missouri. Lots of nature here too, winters aren’t bad and family was the main reason.

Very interesting, can’t believe people would move away from MT, this is the last best place…
We moved here 11 years ago and absolutely love it!
Enjoyed your video again.

Love MT. But it’s changed so much. Leaving it to go back to the lastest bestest place (AK) before it becomes the next MT 😭😭 We’ll occasionally be snowbirds and come back south to MT to visit family in the winter 😂

I just went to an estate sale for a couple that moved to Costa Rica.

My doctor moved back to California because of the weather.

The people leaving Montana for states like Washington and Oregon are probably people who politically lean left-of-center and dislike Montana's conservative bent.

Just had a friend move back to Prescott Valley, Az. Met someone at Applebees yesterday that just moved from New Hampshire. Still a little pricey to relocate from midwest but Montana is calling.

I’m born and raised in south Florida (60 years) and would move to Montana tonight if it weren’t for work. We’ve had a place in Montana for over twenty years and love everything about it. Spectacular scenery and native Montanans are the best people you’ll ever meet. We do all we can to fit in and offer no south Florida influence. And we do a lot to support our little town financially. I actually don’t want people moving to Montana. I’ve witnessed unmitigated migration to Florida and it has been ruined for us natives. Sounds hypocritical but most arrivals to Florida have changed it culturally. And not for the better.

I think most of the Californians are just going back which is just fine with me.

4 of the states you mentioned have no state income tax, so a pretty good reason to leave.

We moved from FL 3yrs ago. The only thing I miss about FL is the no state income tax.

One in Montana can always tell when someone from Arizona or Texas is around.
They wear a sweater or coat during the summer.
