I thought that was a pretty condescending remark about the "lump of coal" reference, myself. This clip only covers the initial audition where he got passed to the next level, but he ended up winning the whole thing that year, so I'm sure there are clips of him singing the entire piece somewhere online.

It really irked me how the audience and panel judged him before he even sang which I believe was based on his looks and also his job. They did the same thing with Susan Boyle. If they had treated me that way I would have walked off the stage. I recommend watching the biographical movie about his life entitled "One Chance." He endured alot in his life including bullying and faced many other hardships but his love of opera never wavered. Thank you for your nice reaction and also for standing up for him here 💕💐.

He trained at Pavarotti’s academy in Italy and then messed up in front of Pavarotti because of nerves and self confidence. He hadn’t sung publicly since then. His wife put him forward for the competition.

Please react to Jonathan Antoine singing this . His "Nessun Dorma-Home Performance" is Beautiful!!! It was filmed at 2:00 a.m. after a Global chat with Fans. One of many Gifts during Lock Down. He was on BGT 2012 with his friend Charlotte. At his Sold Out 2019 Toronto concerts (filmed for American PBS TV) as he sang ND, people were crying and throwing Roses on the stage as he sang! As to this video being short, I believe all of the First auditions on BGT are on a short time limit.

He was really good, but my very favorite version of this song was when Luciano Poverati was sick and couldn’t sing a show he was meant to sing at, so he called Aretha Franklin and she stood in for him and sang Nessum Dorma and its a little different, she switches between English and Italian in it but it gives me crazy frisson shivers all over when she hits that crescendo.
