The Wave 3 Paints from Two Thin Coats and Trans Atlantis Games have finally arrived and it’s time to test them out!

Once again there are 60 paints in the wave, including some brilliant coloured metallics. Once again the coverage is excellent and these paints have a lovely creamy texture, go on smooth and I just feel more confident with these paints.

If you are thinking of trying some new paints, give the TTC range a try, and let me know what you think in the comments?

Also, if you want to see my review of the Wave 2 paints, you can do so here:

I did this already. Just have to have a really good metallic paint. To be honest the p3 line was awesome. I used vallejo and reaper. Droppers are the best for paints. Mixing, measuring and keeping them for years. You always k ow by drops your mixtures. Loved doing green gold mixes .

Thanks for showing these off. I'm going to have to pick up the bone wash for my upcoming deathwing bladeguard.

I just got mine a week ago, haven't had a chance to use them yet. They look great, especially the metallics. Thanks for the review

I didn't bother with waves 1 and 2 as I had pretty much all the colours covered already with citadel paints, but ordered wave 3 and am liking the range of colours included. I think in particular the BlueSteel will be perfect for Grey Knights, lots of other nice colours and metallics in the set too.

I’ve yet to try out my Wave 3 paints, but I may give them a try soon.

well let me be plain from my own experiences: there have always been decent colored metallic acrylics for the 20 or so years that I am in this hobby. So the idea is not new. Is it better? I dont know, for i never tried those colors and I am happy enough with what I am using that i might never try it.. Also most "normal" colors mix well enough with metallics to mix together colored metallics.. yes less reflective in most cases and yes with mixing yourself the colors wont be as matching for army projects, so there is a place for it. To me its just neither Unique nor a necessity or game changer.
