God Returns to His Temple - Bishop Barron's Sunday Sermon

Friends, it’s easy enough to sentimentalize the Feast of the Presentation. But we oughtn’t to, because this story is getting at, if I can put it this way, a hard truth. And the clue is given to us in the first reading, which is from the prophet Malachi: “And suddenly there will come to the temple the LORD whom you seek.”

Brethren, trust God when you pray it works. He said all we need to do is ask in prayers. My testimony spans from penury to $95, 000 monthly, and you stay and doubt that he doesn't answer prayers. Make that altar now and spend time there. A change is in the way. Amen!!!

Thank Bishop Barron, I began listening to your homilies five years ago when I experienced a deep depression. Your homily was a part of my therapy. I thought that I may have needed medication, but our Lord God provided you as my medication because nothing else works. I was 67 years old when I experienced the darkest of depression. I had never experienced depression and didn't know what was happening to me. Every thought was self condemnation, guilt, fears of death, and no sleep. Thanks, be to our Lord God for your teaching. I accepted the pain of purification. I understand that the medication I needed was a better understanding of who God is to me, and your teaching provided my spiritual medications for all fears and doubts. I am free now from the bondaged of sins.
