Are we ALL Children of God?

I put out a poll a while ago asking you guys what you believed about being children of God. I asked how many of you believed that all humans are born already children of God and how many of you believed we are *not* born children of God, but become His children. The vast majority voted what I would agree with: that humans are NOT all children of God. I want to make this video for the 12-15% and explain WHY this is what the Bible teaches, why it makes sense, and why it’s actually a very beautiful theological truth.

Correction!: Someone politely pointed out that I misspoke at the 6:40 mark and said, "This is beautifully broken down in John, chapter 3, a very *infamous* chapter..."

Infamous is not the same as 'famous'. In fact, it means the exact opposite: "well known for being bad or for evil acts." 😳Heh.. whoops. 🙈 I mistakenly used it to convey that it's a likable and popular chapter.

It's not the first time I've misspoken in a video. Probably won't be the last time😅 So don't use the word at your next family get-together to describe your Aunt's 'infamous' green bean casserole.

I was born in a Christian home and went to church pretty much every Sunday. However I hardly ever listened in church and never opened a bible and read it and understood it. But over the past couple years things have been difficult and I'm starting to open my self up to God basically from square one. It has been extremely hard but your videos have been helping me understand what it really means to be a Christian and after watching your videos, I truly understand just how much I don't understand. I love when you said “we are being spiritually remade”. I just recently had a conversation with a coworker after we closed. We had a vulnerable conversation that her own lives and our relationship with God. My whole life I thought it was a Christian because my family went to church and my parents were but it was until I turned 18 that Jesus entered my life. I explained this to my coworker and he observed what I was saying intently. He’s on the fence when it comes to God right now and I’m praying that he will humble himself and call on the Lord. You explained this beautifully, Melissa! It seems like it would be simple, but that's not necessarily so. Even with a Christian background, I didn't "get it" until I was 43. Born again in 2020, praise God!
