I think either Dopa or Clid will eventually take Rank 1 on the KR server, but I'm really curious to see how it turns out.
*The biggest advantage of starting with a wolf path is that, unlike fixed full clear routes where your destination is set (either top or bot), this path lets you decide whether to go top or bot depending on how the situation develops.
Whether the enemy jungler goes for a full clear or a 3-camp gank, you can first check what the enemy is doing and look for openings to exploit.
For example, if Xin Zhao hasn’t shown on the map by 2:40, you can reasonably assume that he's doing a full clear and will be on the scuttle crab next.
Also, if Xin Zhao did a reverse buff full clear and Lee Sin matched that but didn’t find a good gank opportunity, Lee Sin could still get ahead in levels by using the wolf path to reset and full clear efficiently after.
And if none of the three lanes are in a good position for a dive or gank — whether it's trades, summoner spell usage, or wave states — you can simply use the wolf path to transition into a full clear.

It's really cool to see that by simply changing a few simple things in the common jungle gameplay, he managed to create a new early game strategy that plays right into his mid-game tactics. It's oddly fresh, so odd that not even Dobby has figured out the counter yet.

As a Lee main for 10+ years, I have to say that his initial pathing is genius. As Lee wants to fight as much as possible early game, he often can't cycle-farm all 4 basic camps and still do as much as he wants on the map.

For those that want to recreate this, the key is not in his weird pathing.
The key is in picking an *early game champion* and *power farming* rather than spam ganking.
Guarantee that you'll be the strongest on every grub spawn by minimizing variance.

In fact, this game his weird pathing almost cost him his camps if his trist didn't cover his jungle (which rarely happens).
Don't focus on the weird pathing, focus on picking a strong early game champ, optimizing your clear and not getting distracted.
You'll win most games this season.

Great video. I OTPed this exact strategy a year ago in Spring after Grubbies release. I used to do this as Shyvana. Before it I used to be a Silver hard stuck, but with it I've got to Diamond. I didn't manage to climb any higher since I haven't perfected it to this level since I only thanks to your video truly understood that I am trying to give up on my champion's scaling to invest into snowball and that's what I was losing into in my playstyle back then, but now I know it, thank you very much. I'll try to break my high-score LP ceiling I hit that time with this fine-tuned approach to the mindstyle.

This form of jungle clear has a known name "grub path" it has some decent educational 3 minute videos on youtube from various big jungle dedicated content creators, some from the jungle clear recognisable experts, some from guys as Agurin and many more.

the key to the xin zhao matchup was pantheon's help
pantheon played around clid and tristana has a strong wave clear
with veigar and gnar being safe champions to play, that's purely a jungle focus comp

They'd get tilted out of their mind, say "gg jgl gap" and proceed to play like a*s for the rest of the game..
