What Is Docetism?

Docetism is an ancient heresy that says Jesus was not fully human. According to Docetism, he seemed to be human, but because Jesus was fully divine, he had no physical body. Therefore, the form people saw was essentially a ghost.

I remember reading some docetists claimed Jesus wasn't crucified. Instead according to them, Jesus tricked the Romans to think Simon of Cyrene (the guy who helped Jesus carry the cross) was Jesus thus Simon got crucified in Jesus' place. Jesus then proceeded to laugh at this. No really.

Not sure if he cried or not, but the idea that only "someone who doesn't know babies" would think he didn't cry is like saying only someone who doesn't know biology would believe in the virgin birth.

Jesus, the human being was an illusory being, just as you are....because MATTER IS AN ILLUSORY SENSE, not a reality!

The Activity of Truth in the Consciousness of the illusory being known to the world as Jesus gave us the OUTLINE TO the UNFOLDING of an ILLUMINED CONSCIOUSNESS, albeit the human mind cannot understand it so it was turned into a religious practice.
Jesus was not the first nor the last to do this, as Buddha, Shankara, Meister Eckhart, Emilie Cady, and a host of others have also imparted this truth!!

Right….just because every baby you’ve met is definitely a cryer doesn’t mean Jesus cried.
As for Docetism…….Jesus constantly says statements that go against the Old Testament. This is what docetism is……Jesus tries to tell people that the God of the Old Testament isn’t quite right….something is wrong or off! Jesus continually states that what is being talked about in the Old Testament isn’t what he is preaching…….he tells us to distance ourselves from it, why would he do that if the one God (the God of the Old Testament) be correct? I don’t understand.
