This is a intro montage of the simulcast of WTLV 12 News on ABC25. This was right after WTLV's then-owner GANNETT purchase of WJXX ABC 25 was completed in March of 2000, It was also the same day of the shutdown of WJXX ABC25's news operation. WTLV's newscasts were simulcasted on ABC25 until all the newscasts were rebranded First Coast News later that year.

Despite Allbritton investing in the station, WJXX never recovered from its rushed sign on and was sold by Allbritton in late 1999. The initial choice of WJXX as the new ABC affiliate for Jacksonville happened due to Allbritton signing an affiliation deal with ABC in the wake of WBRC switching from ABC to Fox. The Birmingham market would wind up with WBMA as the new ABC affiliate, with WCFT and WJSU as satellite stations. WBSG was chosen as the network's affiliate for the Georgia side of the Brunswick market in the summer of 1996, but it was forced to disaffiliate from ABC as a result of WJXX being sold.

Will see more of this in the future as FCC considers and passes the regulation that stations no longer have to have studios in the city that they are licensed to. All they need is a transmitter building and a local sales office.
