Mombasa county official defends himself over incitement allegations

Mombasa County Lands and Planning Executive Francis Thoya has been summoned to record a statement over allegations of inciting residents of Changamwe and Jomvu constituencies to oppose Standard Gauge Railway, Dongo Kundu by-pass and other projects.
He says Maganda, Skembo, Ngare and other areas where national projects are passing must be fairly compensated, to find alternative land. Mr Thoya said he is ready to be arrested if that is what it takes to defend the residents.
