Γλυφάδα (Glyfada) | Drone DJI Mavic 2 Pro | 4K

Η Γλυφάδα είναι παραθαλάσσιο προάστιο και δήμος του Νοτίου Τομέα Αθηνών. Αποτελεί το μεγαλύτερο από τα παραδοσιακά νότια προάστια και εκτείνεται από τη θάλασσα του Σαρωνικού μέχρι τις ρίζες του Υμηττού. Από το κέντρο της Αθήνας απέχει περίπου 14 χιλιόμετρα. Διοικητικά ανήκει στην Περιφέρεια Αττικής. Θεωρείται κοσμοπολίτικο προάστιο της Αθήνας, με πολλά καταστήματα, χώρους εστίασης και διασκέδασης και ακριβές κατοικίες δίπλα στη θάλασσα.

Η περιοχή της Γλυφάδας κατά την αρχαιότητα ονομαζόταν Αιξωνή και ήταν ένας από τους Δήμους της αρχαίας Αθήνας, γνωστή για την αιξωνική τρίγλη (μπαρμπούνι). Η ονομασία Γλυφάδα είναι σχετικά πρόσφατη και προέρχεται από τα πηγάδια της περιοχής, των οποίων το νερό είναι υφάλμυρο, δηλαδή γλυφό.

Στη Γλυφάδα υπάρχουν δύο μαρίνες, πνευματικό και πολιτιστικό κέντρο, αθλητικά κέντρα, δέκα αθλητικοί σύλλογοι εκτός των πολλών άλλων, καθώς και διάφορα πολιτιστικά ιδρύματα. Στη Γλυφάδα έχουν ανεγερθεί σημαντικά μνημεία όπως ο μαρμάρινος ανδριάντας του Αγίου Χρυσοστόμου Σμύρνης στην πλατεία της Αγίας Τριάδας καθώς και το μνημείο των Γ. Σεφέρη και Οδ. Ελύτη στην οδό Λαμπράκη.

Glyfada is a coastal suburb and municipality of the Southern Sector of Athens. It is the largest of the traditional southern suburbs and stretches from the Saronic Gulf to the roots of Hymettus. It is about 14 km from the center of Athens. Administratively it belongs to the Attica Region. It is considered a cosmopolitan suburb of Athens, with many shops, restaurants and entertainment venues and expensive homes by the sea.

The area of ​​Glyfada in antiquity was called Aixoni and was one of the Municipalities of ancient Athens, known for its ecclesiastical triplet (barbouni). The name Glyfada is relatively recent and comes from the wells in the area, whose water is brackish, ie glyph.

In Glyfada there are two marinas, a spiritual and cultural center, sports centers, ten sports clubs among many others, as well as various cultural institutions. Important monuments have been erected in Glyfada, such as the marble statue of St. Chrysostom of Smyrna in Agia Triada Square, as well as the monument of G. Seferis and Elytis Street on Lambraki Street.
