Honestly the parents relationships with their children and everyone else's children were one of the most refreshing thing in this show. Sheriff Stilinski, Melissa McCall, even Chris Argent. It's like once you were excepted into Scott's friend group you were treated as a child of their own. Best show for parent-child relationships.

It has to be so terrifying to realize you don’t really know what’s been going on with your child. That they’ve clearly been hurt and involved in a fight you can’t even imagine how dangerous and difficult it is. Melissa’s reaction was perfect *chef’s kiss*

I so wish the show had done more with this. This could have been a season long arc of Melissa coming to grips with her son being a werewolf. And instead they brushed over it, barely spent a few minute of screentime on it.And then wasted two seasons on the sheriff coming to grips with his son hanging out with werewolves.
