Hey everyone! I had the honor of seeing Aladdin last week, and honestly I was super nervous, but it really is a BLAST! The trailers don't do it justice: the leads are SO charming, Will Smith is a great Genie, the music is KILLER and it's just a great update all in all. Just so you know, there are spoilers in this video, so know that going in - Enjoy :)

“We won’t spoil too much, but genie has two kids.” Okay then

just watched it and i like it, it’s a bit different from the original but i still enjoy it. Will Smith did his thing as Genie, no need to compare it with the late great Robin Williams

"Jafar gets a glowup"

You mean Jafar gets replaced by his emo-son.

"Number 7: there's more action at the climax"

You seem to forget the original had a giant snake

It’s so ridiculous when people say “I hate how the live action remakes are the exact same as the original” and then when the movie changes go “this is nothing like the original! They don’t have *insert scene or character or actor*”

I saw the movie last night. The special effects, the dance scenes and Will Smith were pretty good. The fact that I liked Will Smith as the genie does not negate Robin Williams character as the original genie. He did a good job as well. The first movie was a cartoon but this Aladdin was blended with live action. The main thing here is I like the movie and the kids in the theater loved the movie as well.

The live action is a must watch movie! Will Smith indeed portrayed a different attack on Genies character and we loved it! The actirs and actresses are great as well. The movie is nostalgic! Great movie!

I really love that in the end they made genie a real human when he was freed. It gives the ending a bittersweet taste, like he’s not the genie we’ve known anymore since he couldn’t even perform a simple magic anymore. But it means he finally got the freedom he wanted for more than a thousand years and finally explore the world to his heart’s content, just like a normal human being. It’s one of my most favourite things about this movie. And Jasmine becoming a sultan is a pleasant surprise too.

The Speechless scene was incredible!

Naomi Scott did an awesome job with that performance. That scene alone makes this movie worth watching.

Another that I can think of..

1. "Prince Ali song scene": in live action version, Aladdin was shown not riding the elephant but instead he's on a camel float - helping not to promote animal abuse.

2. "One Jump Ahead song scene": live action version shows Aladdin running into a room of young women learning to read instead in animation version he was in a brothel (possibly) - promoting the need for female education.

3. Hakim (head of security) was potrayed with more depth to his character in live action version, shown him having better judgement on loyalty to the sultan, compared to his animation version (whose named Razoul instead) that merely reflects an authoritation personality.

Here's a bit of bonus trivia: Frank Welker is the only actor to reprise his role in the remake as the voice of The Cave of Wonders

They deleted completly the part when Jasmine frees the doves, it was one of the most memorable moments I remember from the original as a child... also when she makes a jump to the next rooftop with a rod, proving she was unexpectedly full of surprises and skills...
