Ultimate girls road trip guide & things to do in Plattsburgh, NY! SAVE for future road trip inspo 🚗✨
When I heard there’s a Target just an hour and a bit from Montreal, I knew I had to plan a final fall road trip and head to Plattsburgh, New York immediately 🙊.
Rather than just do a day trip, we decided to turn this little shopping expedition into a full blown mini trip, and let me tell ya it was jam packed! Even though we were late for the fall season and missed the typical Adirondack epic fall foliage hikes, there was still so much to do and it made for the perfect opportunity to get in a little Christmas shopping!
Here’s everything we did during my very first trip to Plattsburgh, New York:
1. Stroll around the cute downtown Plattsburgh which is very walkable
2. Get in a little Christmas and antique shopping. Plattsburgh has some real unique gems like Gem Goddess Emporium, A Beautiful Mess, The Hidden Gem, and Antique & Variety Mall
3. Rulfs Orchard for everything from U-Pick to a petting zoo 🐴
4. Country Dreams Farm for a petting zoo, corn maze, pumpkin patch, wagon rides and more 🐐
5. Apple cider donuts at Banker Orchards, which also has a ton of Christmas goods to shop 🎅🏻🎄
6. Build your own S’mores at Irises Cafe and Wine Bar
7. We stayed at Valcour Inn and Boathouse just outside of Plattsburgh in Adirondack Park and it was so cozy
8. Loved the cheap & cheerful diner breakfast at Campus Corner
9. Lunch at Twisted Carrot which features fresh food for the soul 🥕
10. Grab a maple latte at Chapter One Coffee and Tea
11. Browse the books in Corner Stone Bookshop
12. Get in a little beer & cider tasting at Oval Craft Brewing
13. Stop for a delicious bbq meal and craft mocktail at Whistle Stop Fusion BBQ & Craft Mocktails in Chazy on your way back to Montreal!
14. And you can’t forget about Target 😆. I loaded up on seasonal goods!
