As a Michigander my favorite season is Autumn. It never fails when it comes to sites, sounds, and smells. There can never be too much cider, doughnuts, and football. Drinking plenty of hot apple cinnamon tea & cold cider makes your olfactory senses explode with pleasure.

I live in a small village in Southern Tier NY, smack dab in the middle of the Appalachia Mountains. Autumn is my favorite time of year, aside from my passion for hunting, my wife and I go apple picking in the orchards and get fresh farm produce. There is something spiritual about it all.

This is still my favorite Autumn video. Reminds me of mid October in North Georgia. The hay has been cut, the pumpkins harvested, and the apples are ripe. The days are still warm, but the nights cool and crisp. The leaves are just starting to turn and a brisk wind will blow a smattering of leaves off of the trees. I guess I like this part of Autumn because it such a relief from the hot, muggy summer, yet Autumn is just getting started and there so much more to look forward to.

I love autumn. There's something about the red and gold leaves on trees that make it more colorful than the green grass and yellow daffodils in spring. And the smells of cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and maybe some cocoa are more abundant in autumn, mostly around Thanksgiving. Autumn is the best season!
