WHEN TO APPLY FOR YOUR ARTICLESHIP AFTER CA INTERMEDIATE?

With your CA Intermediate results right around the corner, along with the anxiety and restlessness, a very important question surfaces in your mind – When should I apply to firms for my Articleship?
The right answer is that there is no right answer, there is no right time. Whenever you feel you are ready to apply, you can and should apply.

First and foremost, make sure that you have a professional looking LinkedIn profile. Once that is done, you can consider approaching the Human Resources teams of various firms, who keep posting about vacancies. Be very professional in approaching them, and convey your interests in applying.

One major red flag – DO NOT approach the same firm through multiple references. It does not add any value or does not give any preference to your application. On the other hand, it looks very unprofessional and your application might be rejected on these grounds.

Another myth buster for you - It does not matter if you apply prior to or after your CA Intermediate results. Anytime when you are most comfortable in applying is the right time to apply.
