Nice review for agm…years ago I went cheap…4 lead acid deep cycle 105ah ea.
When there used I don’t run them lower than 12.2..also have 2 EcoFlow 600.
Never a problem..using 30 year old solar panels..Cost of the batts and 2 solar

AGM's are the only way to go. I've been fortunate enuf to find them slightly used on my local craigslist from homeowners that have been forced to move. Still expensive compared to lead/acid tho.

The cost of the battery is largely based on how long they figure it can last, obviously size and amp hours too...but Zack covered that. Every battery is rated for a number of "cycles". One cycle being from charged-depleted-charged again. Basically it is how well the internals are made; how rugged, how thick, etc. Eventually they all will break down, so get what you can afford. Batteries, like most things, are one of those "you get what you pay for" items. You can pay thousands for a single battery...but that battery will most likely be rated to last 50-90+ years. It becomes a budget thing, like most everything else. Just do your homework and get the best one you can afford.

The problem with AGM batteries is you can only discharge them down to 50%. So 100Ah = 50Ah. Lithium can be disharged at 80% although they are 5 times the price. Factor in the life span and you find lithium is cheaper in the long run.

What about Kickass agms??? For one of the slim line of 12v agm batteries right now they are $140 each and they are has anyone used these before??? I am looking for some agm batteries for my car stereo and i have yet to find any other ones in this price range that even come close to these specs, I am only on the fence about them cuz they re not geared specifically for car audio, does anyone have any input??? I would love to hear some if so

Getting good lead is getting to be a task now and days . I had a friend who had a lawn mower battery that fell flat in three weeks from Wal-Mart . It looked like mostly Zink plates in it to me .

Buy Walmart batteries for cars. They come with warranty for two years free replacement. So every other year, I trade them in for new ones! Winner winner chicken dinner!
