Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel Saffet Bey ran aground on the coast of Neapoli and was refloated in the morning of the 7th of September with the help of Megatugs and SMIT Salvage.

On September 03, 2016 the ship was en route from Trieste (Italy) to Cesme (Turkey), the vessel was sailing in the dark at full speed when it struck the rocks near Profitis Ilias, Lakonias, in southern Greece.
